MOBILE DETROIT 2050

Sara Codarin and Karl Daubmann

The widespread deployment of the car originated in Detroit and there is no better place to imagine futures for transportation, access, and mobility. Diverse perspectives are capable of producing innovation and compelling visions have the power to change the course of development. AI has the power to quickly produce images and as this technology moves into widespread use, it has the ability to democratize the work of thinkers, dreamers, and disruptors. These new tools allow for the contribution of unique visions of what might lie ahead. Mobile Detroit 2050 launched an international call for visions of the future of urban mobility. Mobile Detroit 2050 asked for images from the future. We received over 1,000 images from 22 different countries. How will we move about Detroit in 2050?
